Safety & Trust
How we help you meet people with confidence.
TripTribe exists to help you meet real people and do real things together. Every Xperience happens in the real world, so safety is something we take seriously. Here's what we do to help, and what we ask you to do too.
Verification Tiers
Every member can choose how much they verify. A higher tier unlocks more trust from hosts and more Xperiences to join.
- Email verified: confirmed on signup for every account.
- Selfie verified: a live selfie so hosts know you're a real person, required to join some Xperiences.
Every Xperience Is Approved
Every Xperience visible on TripTribe has been reviewed and approved by our admin team before it goes live, nothing a host submits appears publicly until we've checked it. This doesn't replace your own judgment, but it does mean what you're browsing isn't just posted directly by anyone with no oversight.
Before You Meet
- Review the host's profile and verification badge before requesting to join.
- Chat in the Xperience group before the day arrives. It's a good way to get a feel for who you're meeting.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going and roughly when you'll be back.
- Choose Xperiences with public meeting points when you can, especially the first time you join a new host's group.
During the Xperience
Trust your instincts. If something feels off, it's okay to leave. Keep your phone charged, share your live location with someone you trust if the activity takes you somewhere remote, and stick with the group rather than going off alone with someone you've just met.
Payments
Any cost for an Xperience is set by the host and shown upfront on the listing. Payment happens directly between you and the host, in whatever way you both agree on. Never send money outside of the agreed Xperience cost, and be cautious of anyone asking for payment before you've even met.
Community Guidelines
We ask every member to:
- Be honest about who they are and what they're offering or looking for.
- Treat every other member with respect, regardless of background or identity.
- Show up when they say they will, and give real notice when plans change.
- Never harass, pressure, or discriminate against anyone in the community.
Reporting a Problem
If a member makes you uncomfortable, misrepresents themselves, or breaks these guidelines, please tell us. Reach out to triptribe.online@gmail.com with as much detail as you can share (the person's profile, the Xperience, and what happened). We review every report and take action, including removing accounts when needed. In an emergency, please contact local emergency services first.
A Note on What We Can (and Can't) Guarantee
Verification and reports lower the risk of a bad experience, but no platform can guarantee the behavior of another person. Use your own judgment alongside these tools. For the full legal picture, see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
